Katharine McLarty, BPAS, CK, CEP
Katharine’s lifelong interest in athletics, working with her body to achieve peak performance and optimal health led her ultimately to the experience of injury and rehabilitative process.  Under those stressful and, at times, painful conditions, Katharine discovered the amazing healing qualities of water exercise and therapy.  Determined to share her own success, Katharine dedicated the next ten years to the study and experience of rehabilitation, resulting in the opening of the Functional Performance Centre in February 2008.  With the qualifications as a Certified Kinesiologist and Exercise Physiologist, WaterFit Instructor Trainer and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and the acquisition of state of the art equipment, such as the Hydrotrack Water Treadmill, Katharine has materialized her dream.  Her vision is to bring together under one roof, a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals focused on helping clients achieve optimal health, enriching the lives of everyone involved.

  

Kimberley Jelly, BHSc PT, ART, CAFCI
Kim is a Registered Physiotherapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.   While she has worked in many different areas of physiotherapy, she has spent the past 15 years in her specialty of orthopaedics and sports injuries.  Her desire to assist her clients recover from injuries as quickly possible comes from her own personal experience with injury recovery as a retired distance runner with Canada's national team.  Kim's assessment and treatment rely heavily on biomechanical analysis, as it is her belief that in order to correct the problem, you must find the source of the injury first.  In addition to completing many post-graduate courses, Kim is ART® (Active Release Therapy) and Acupuncture certified, and a Kinesiotaping and Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) practitioner.

 

Lynne McCarthy, RMT
Lynne has a vast collection of experiences that truly qualify her as a provider of integrated healing. First trained as an emergency services worker, Lynne saw the body is various states of discord. It was this experience that initiated her journey into the healing arts. A Registered Massage Therapist, Transformational Psychotherapeutic Counselor, Craniosacral Therapist and Lomi Practitioner, Lynne synergizes all these practices to communicate with her client at a deeper level – from the cellular level to the soul. She practices the healing arts with reverence and respect, helping her clients to perpetuate health by helping them listen to the teacher within and heal themselves. 

 

Elmira Francinelli, BSc, ND (Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine)
Dr. Francinelli completed her Bachelor of Science degree and graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.  Her special interest is in pediatrics and women's health.  She is focused on restoring the body to optimum health and attain balance mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.  Her private practice incorporates herbal medicine, nutrition, acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine, homeopathy and hydrotherapy.  She has advanced training in Bowen therapy, hydrotherapy and in cosmetic acupuncture and facial rejuvenation.  Elmira's favourite quote is Thomas Edison's "The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."  Elmira brings her enthusiasm for wellness to her clients in order to improve the balance between work and life for individuals.

Sara M Poirier, RMT
Sara is a graduate from KineConcept Massage Therapy School in Ottawa, Ontario. She has taken advanced courses in Schwietzer Deep Tissue Therapy, a specialized technique to decrease discomfort during treatment while maximizing benefit and relief. Her treatments consist not only of massage itself but also stretching and exercises to help in a speedy recovery of injury.  Not just treating the pain, treating the problem!
 
 
 

Janusz Wawro, MPEd, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Janusz is a graduate of the five-year program in Osteopathic Manual Practice at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto.  He also holds a Masters Degree in Physical Education and is a member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.  Having worked in some of the most reputable clinics in Toronto and Montreal, Janusz has over 14 years of experience in helping people of all ages and backgrounds, including professional and Olympic athletes.  He specializes in treating chronic pain, sports and repetitive strain injuries, and posture improvement. Combining his knowledge of Osteopathy, Massage Therapy and Kinesiology (corrective exercise), Janusz will provide you with quality care that brings effective relief from pain, and long-lasting improvement of your overall health and well-being.

 

 

Mhairi (Vari) Watson, Lead Conductor
Mhairi graduated as a conductor with a B.A (Honours) from the National Institute of Conductive Education® England.  She has worked in a variety of CE settings in many different countries including the UK, New Zealand and the US.  Mhairi joined the OMOD/MODC team in March 2005.

 

   

Vishali Malholtra, CE Conductor
Vishali graduated from the National Institute of Conductive Education and University of Wolverhampton in June 2007. 

 

 

 

Karli Craig, CE Conductor

Karli Craig graduated from the National Institute of Conductive Education in England in June 2008 with a BA (Hons) and Qualified Conductor Status.  Currently she is providing Conductive Education services at March of Dimes centre at The Functional Performance Centre in Mississauga.   Prior to her studies and career within Conductive Education, Karli graduated from Brock University with a BA (Hons) in Community Health.  It was at this university where she first became an employee with March of Dimes Canada working as a personal attendant within the university.  She then held the same position with the Whitby supportive housing program for many years and following this worked as a life skills coach in the Literacy Options program at Provincial office.  This is where Karli first saw the program of Conductive Education and became fascinated with what it had to offer.  Karli is thrilled that she was able to work as a Conductive Education classroom assistant for one year before setting off to England to become a qualified Conductor and she feels very fortunate to be in such a profession that really gives hope to many individuals and their families.
