We are a Private Clinic and our services are billable through Private (Employee) Health Benefit Plans (HBP) and Car Insurance (Motor Vehicle Accident - MVA). Any billing over your limits, may be deductible on your income tax. Be sure to talk with us if you are not sure what your plan covers, we are here to assist you and maximize your benefits and treatment.
We have a Registered Physiotherapist, Registered Massage Therapists, Naturopathic Doctor, Osteopath and Certified Kinesiologist on staff to oversee and administer treatments. We have found that a strong referral from your Physician (if required by your HBP) with an appropriate diagnosis has assisted clients in attaining reimbursement as payers realize that our services are appropriate and cost-effective.
We are a pay-for-service facility. You are responsible for paying for your treatments, and then you submit your receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement. We can assist you by sending the paid receipts to the insurance company so you receive your reimbursement within 2 weeks of treatment. |

Call us at (905) 949-6266 to book your initial assessment and treatment with our Physiotherapist. The assessment provides the basis for your treatment with us. Recommendations such as frequency, duration and specific exercises are based upon the assessment. We make every attempt to provide your doctor with monthly updates on your progress. If your Health Benefit Plan (HBP) requires a doctor's referral in order for you to be reimbursed for treatment, please visit your doctor and request a referral for Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and/or Massage Therapy.
Our Assessment is 60 minutes in length and includes your initial treatment, please bring comfortable clothing for the land assessment. If you want a water treatment, please bring your bathing suit.
We do a comprehensive physical assessment (body alignment, functional tasks, injuries, etc.) including gait analysis on land and in the water. We also discuss your goals and needs, so we can customize your program. We can also measure your Body Composition Analysis and Measurements. |

What if I just had or am planning a surgery? |

Aquatic therapy fits perfectly into the well-designed postsurgical therapy program, because water provides the safest place for protected, gradual, and guided motion that does not overly stress the joint or site of repair. Patients can start pool therapy very early in the postoperative recovery phase, often before land-based therapy programs would be possible. Over the years, we’ve seen patients who use aquatic therapy program as "prehab" (therapy prior to surgery) return to full function much more quickly than those who have been inactive prior to surgery. By gaining strength and flexibility prior to surgery, they returned to the pool already knowing how to do the exercises and they quickly regained function and range of motion.
If you are planning on having joint replacement therapy, it is ideal if you can get started as soon as possible. Research has shown that clients who start therapy at least 8 weeks prior to surgery recover quicker from surgery. Our recommended plan for Hip Replacement or Knee Replacement is:
